We just got word that Michael Fiorello, who was recently crowned the Prince of Porc for Chicago at Cochon 555, was just promoted to culinary director for the Garces Restaurant Group in Philadelphia. As you may know, Jose Garces is the executive chef/partner of Mercat a la Planxa, where Fiorello has served as chef de cuisine.
While Fiorello will head east, Cory Morris will take his place starting in May at the Spanish tapas restaurant in the Blackstone Hotel. Seems like congrats are in order all around.
