Mike & Chao Embrace Sake. They Ask: Do You?

In anticipation of the May opening of Union Sushi + Barbeque Bar, Mike and Chao continue their clever grass-roots marketing buzz with the release of a new video—and this one is all about sake.

The video features Eric Swanson, one of the world's foremost experts on the centuries-old Japanese rice wine, sipping sake in various situations and pairing it with different foods, even grabbing a hot dog at what looks like Wiener's Circle, and pulling out a small bottle of premium sake to wash it down. The video has a great voiceover, adding a mock-serious tone lined with humor.

When it opens in May, the restaurant plans to feature more than 25 bottles of sake that Mike and Chao discovered on their monthlong trip throughout Asia last year. The bottles will range in price from $15 to $70 and their goal is to help educate diners on sake's potential, especially when it comes to pairing it with various food. Check out the video:
