Chef Patricio Sandoval of Mercadito wants you to eat his food, but also learn how to make it. Each month he will host a demonstration and dinner with the goal of teaching you how to expand your Mexican culinary skills beyond the basics. The intimate sessions will be held at Double A, the cocktail lounge below Mercadito.
Next Monday, March 21, the class will preview Mercadito's spring menu. Participants will learn how to create dishes that will appear on the menu, such as the crudo de pez limón with hamachi, tomatillo, caramelized pineapple, mint and chile morita. A guacamole trio, chicken and pork tacos, an entree and dessert will also be prepared. As an added bonus, four of the courses are paired with cocktails created by Mercadito's mixologists.
Classes will be held on a Monday night each month from 6-8 p.m. The schedule for the rest of the year is as follows:
April 25: Plan Your Cinco de Mayo Fiesta
