A new brunch spot is opening in River North this May, and it's called, simply, Brunch. The name is straightforward but the concept is a twist on your run of the mill brunch dining. Often the most leisurely meal of the week, we don't often associate brunch with business convenience. The restaurant Brunch is here to change that. Although the food will appeal to brunch-goers of all types, much of what Brunch is about will appeal to local business people. Yes, you heard that right. A private meeting room equipped with Wi-Fi and teleconference capabilities, a newsstand and even a shoe shine booth is available. In a rush? No problem. You can catch the news on the ticker above the breakfast bar and grab something from the convenient express station out front.
Executive chef Daniel Tibbetts (new to the Chicago dining scene) heads the kitchen with a vision of brunch with upscale simplicity. The menu will include such items as: slow roast pork eggs benedict with citrus hollandaise, sweet cream cheese and strawberry stuffed french toast and three different kinds of breakfast egg sliders.
Brunch will have a focus on environmental sustainability with a special reusable coffee mug program, encouraging customers to use their own coffee mugs to reduce waste. Additionally, all of their take-away boxes will be made from recycled materials so you can feel good about enjoying your leftovers.
