There are some places you may always think of when needing to plan that power lunch—Gibson's, RL, 312 Chicago. But the list is pretty vast and Crain's has named the top 25 places it feels make for a great business meal.
Spots like Chicago Cut, Capital Grille and the Florentine seem like obvious choices for various reasons like location or the fact that folks with expense account like big, fat steaks. But a few others popped up as pleasant surprises, like Davanti Enoteca, Deca Restaurant & Bar, Chicago Q, Mercadito and Pelago.
The list is well-rounded and represents a good cross section of places in River North, the Loop, Streeterville, Gold Coast and the West Loop. We'd like to see Province, Wave and Blackbird—even Bistro 110—on there, which were left off. All offer great food in good locations surrounded by businesses. What do you think was overlooked?
