Want to get up close and personal with Grant Achatz? The chef/owner of Alinea announced this morning he's holding a release party for Life, On the Line starting at 8 p.m. on March 3 at the Thomas Masters Gallery. The party will take place following a book reading at the Harold Washington Library and tickets will cost $75.
Want to go? The first 100 people to email their request (with number of desired tickets) will get in. The party will feature signed copies of the book, flowing Laurent Perrier Champagne and bites prepared by Avenues chef Curtis Duffy, a close friend of Achatz. Proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit the University of Chicago Medical Center, where Achatz received his life-saving cancer treatment.
