If he keeps up this trend, Takashi Yagihashi may end up importing every leading U.S.-based Asian culinary master to Chicago to team up on dinners. In November, Ming Tsai dropped by Takashi to partner on a five-course meal. And now it's Morimoto's turn.
Masaharu Morimoto, the star of Iron Chef and owner of restaurants in New York, Philly, Florida, Napa and India, will join Takashi on March 6 for a special $85 six-course dinner (add wine pairings for $40) that will see the duo plating things like tuna pizza, braised black cod and pork kakuni. Morimoto will prepare a special trio of desserts for the final course. Reservations are being accepted by phone only: 773-772-6170.
So who do we think will join Takashi next: Nobu or David Chang? Want to take bets?
