The first round of Eater's Hottest Chef in Chicago contest continues. Yesterday was cut-throat, coming down to the wire between Perennial's Ryan Poli and current free agent Brandon Baltzley. It was neck and neck down to the last second, but Poli took it with literally 0.1 percent. Wow, what a race! Today, we continue with Round 1, Set 2: Amanda Rockman (The Bristol), Bill Kim (Urban Belly), Mindy Segal (Hot Chocolate), Jimmy Bannos, Jr (Purple Pig), Giuseppe Tentori (Boka) and Dave Beran (Alinea).

And, to make a few things crystal clear for readers and commenters: there are 36 seeded chefs—men and women—total in this little competition and, as explained earlier, the first-round votes take place daily, six chefs at a time. So to the vote we go; may the hottest chef win:
