LAKEVIEW—The George Street Pub opens its doors tonight to the public. With fish 'n' chips, clam chowder, po' boys, burgers and about 50 microbrews, it sounds like it's gonna be a good neighborhood joint. [Urban Daddy]

RIVER NORTH—Starting Monday, Hubbard Inn will be open for lunch starting at 11. Chef Bob Zrenner's lunch menu includes things like braised short ribs; Le Royal Burger with angus and seared foie gras; and a poached prawn salad. [EaterWire]

EVERYWHERE—Chicago mayoral candidate Rahm Emanuel said his campaign would return $50,000 in donations made by Jimmy John's employees. Questions arose on the legality of the gifts and Emanuel chose to return the money out of "caution and to avoid even the suggestion of impropriety." [Crain's]

RIVER NORTH—Swing by e.leaven Food Company on Monday between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. for a President's Day Special. You can get a bagel and cream cheese from their wide selection for just a George Washington. Get it? Just $1. It's not the Benjamins, but for this one day, you only need a George. [EaterWire]
