As the Taste Turns

New, 1 comment

Taste-of-Chicago.jpgAfter rejecting a privatization proposal that would charge patrons for Taste of Chicago, Mayor Daley is now reportedly turning control of the summer food fest over to the Chicago Park District. The city and park district are expected to hold a press conference today at 3 p.m. regarding "2011 summer festivals" to hand over control, since Taste is held in Grant Park. A new management team is expected to oversee the event, which will allegedly now focus primarily on food and move away from live entertainment. Will that help it make money? [Crain's]
