Pizza Persona Giving Away Free Pies on Dec. 11

Even though the signs on the windows said the restaurant would open over the summer, Pizza Persona actually just opened and is going to celebrate by giving away free pizza. On Dec. 11, the fast-casual DIY-like pizza place near the intersection of Clark and Diversey will host its grand opening by giving away free pizza all day.

From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. patrons can order a pizza with a single topping or select from a list of the pre-determined "Persona" pies that includes the Meathead (mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni and bacon), Cowboy (BBQ sauce, mozz, cheddar, red onion and grilled chicken) and Hipster (pesto, low fat mozz, spinach, mushrooms, banana peppers and garlic). There are eight pizzas that can be had that day. The regular menu, which includes salads, calzones and more, won't be available that day since the kitchen will likely be cranking out free pizza all day.
