A classic Chicago pie company is making a comeback. Fasano Pies, which not only reigned on the South Side for decades but was also sold in 48 states, went out of business more than 25 years ago. But now Peter Fasano, a broker at the Board of Trade, is relaunching the family business started by his grandfather in a pie wagon in 1927. Pies by Fasano, which currently delivers pies out of a truck, hopes to open a permanent storefront soon. [Sun-Times]
