LAKEVIEW—Having only opened Bun Mi Express in late June, Le Trinh just opened a second banh mi shop just a few blocks away. Banh Mi & Co. opened at 3121 N. Broadway and offers a pretty similar menu to its sister location: Saigon Classic Special; pork roll; Vietnamese meatball and more. But this location also has Vietnamese salads. [EaterWire]

BRIDGEPORTChef AJ's Carry Out, a quick-service sandwich shop from Anthony Joseph Rudis III (who caters the Chicago White Sox team's pre-game meals) opened at 748 W. 35th St. Menu items include a homemade meatball sandwich, spinach salad with bacon, egg and balsamic dressing and a bleu cheeseburger with caramelized onion and bacon. LAKEVIEW—Claiming to have the largest buffet of its kind in Chicago, Fuji Sushi Buffet opened at 3026 N. Ashland. With more than 50 types of sushi and sashimi, Fuji also has hibachi, teriyaki, seafood and hot Japanese dishes. Lunch costs $10.95 ($12.95 on Saturday) and dinner is $16.95 ($17.95 on weekends).
