Kate Bernot Named Editor of BlackboardEats Chicago

Kate Bernot, a former writer for NBC's The Feast (before it was sold to Daily Candy in October) was just named the new editor of BlackboardEats Chicago, which offers curated reviews and dining deals to top-notch restaurants. In addition to writing for the Feast, Bernot has also contributed to the Chicago Sun-Times, Conde Nast Traveler and Serious Eats Chicago.

Bernot replaces founding editor Louisa Chu, who after eight months (she started with the company four months before it launched in Chicago in July), decided it was time to move on. She will continue to blog for WBEZ and is getting ready to work on a number of new projects, one that will apparently take her to Japan early next year. We wish both of them good luck.
