Hit Dose Market on Sunday for Honey Butter Fried Chicken, Mess Hall & Co., Bill Kim, More

If you still haven’t checked out Dose Market yet, kick off the holiday season with a special HoliDose edition this Sunday, Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m at River East Art Center. Alongside a large number of shopping vendors will be a culinary lineup sure to make your stomach merry.

The forthcoming Honey Butter Fried Chicken will be making its first-ever preview debut. If cheese is more of your thing, then take a bite into a sophisticated grilled cheese from Cheese Dream. Death’s Door will be providing the refreshments to wash that down with a complimentary fizzy gin punch.

Also making its debut will be Mess Hall & Co., a new product line from In Fine Spirits chef Marianne Sundquist. A selection of preserved jams, mustards and herbal teas produced from organic ingredients will be available to purchase.

Over at the Dose café Bill Kim, of Urban Belly and Belly Shack, will be serving pork and cilantro with pickled green papaya and Seoul sauce dumplings. Satisfy your sweet tooth with never-before-tasted cookies from Floriole’s Sandra Holl and Lottie + Doof’s Tim Mazurek, which will include rugelach.

Keeping in line with the holiday theme, Las Manas Tamales will be showcasing its seasonal flavors. Patrons have the option between an achiote rubbed pork shoulder with grilled pineapple and pickled red onion or black beans with roasted poblanos and butternut squash aigre doux tamale. Each will come accompanied by your choosing of either a charred green chili salsa picante or roasted garlic, goat cheese and cilantro crema sauce.

For those of you who need to do some shopping for the foodies on your gift list, Spices of Lezzet will have giftable spice packs, chocolate collections from Truffle Truffle will have cocoa lovers jumping for joy, and at-home brew kits from Brew Camp will keep the holiday buzz going long after the new year.
