Just when you thought Moo & Oink was dead and gone, the name is sticking around. Local company Best Chicago Meats bid $530,000 for the name during an auction on Wednesday and plans to launch a product line selling things like ribs, chitterlings and BBQ sauce. Unfortunately, the stores won't return. However, Best Chicago Meats wants to expand the brand into other markets like Detroit, Milwaukee and Atlanta. "It’s an excellent fit," CEO Bob Beavers told CBS. "We think the prospects to grow this brand outside the Chicagoland area are quite interesting." [CBS]
