If you love bacon so much that you need to get into Baconfest before everyone else, you'll want to be at your computer at noon today, Dec. 12. Why? That's when VIP tickets for the highly indulgent porcine fest will go on sale. But you'll have to act quickly as only 150 tickets for each session will be released at that point online.
VIP tickets for the 4th annual festival, being held on April 14, 2012 at the UIC Forum, will cost $150 and be made available for two sessions: lunch (11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and dinner (5:30 to 9). The VIP ticket is good for the first hour, before the doors open to the general public. Tickets for the GA portion will cost $75 and an on-sale date for those will be announced sometime in 2012 once the confirmed chef lineup is finalized. So if you're a porky die-hard, get ready to pounce.
