In a time when a lot of people could use a little extra support—whether through money, food, clothing or whatever—it's nice to see local restaurants doing their part to give back. Support Care for Real by dining at Marigold Indian Restaurant between Dec. 13 to 18. Simply print out the "I support Care for Real" flyer on Marigold's Facebook page or check-in on Foursquare and show either to your server upon arrival that week.
The restaurant will donate 25 percent of sales that week to Care for Real, a food pantry in the Edgewater neighborhood, and if at least 250 people take action, Marigold will match every dollar collected for the organization. Diners who participate will also be given a 10 percent gift card for a future visit to Marigold. During the week, Marigold will have a number of nightly specials, including a $20 thali (or tasting) menu that Tuesday, half off all bottles of wine on Wednesday, a three-course menu for two for $40 on Saturday and $1 wings and $3 Maharajas beer on Sunday.
