Seemingly following in his brother's (actor Nick Eversman) footsteps, Chicago chef Matt Eversman, who is working on opening OON Chicago in the West Loop, has shot a trailer for a potential TV pilot. And it's pretty funny. Sure, we know you're thinking why do we need another chef on another show, but this one has a different take.
The show, Chicago Kitchen Patrol: Culinary Crime Fighters, is a spoof on '70s cop dramas where Eversman and food writer Amber Gibson scour the city in search of disastrous meals to help home cooks get back on track. The show is currently shooting around town with producer Jason Hinkle (Curious Three Film Production Concern) and they hope to get it picked up. In the meantime, watch the short trailer, where Eversman and Gibson drive around in an old olive green vintage sedan, run around the city and camp it up for the cameras.
