There's no question that Lakeshore East is starting to seriously heat up. Earlier this month, III Forks Steakhouse opened and on Nov. 1, Italian restaurant Filini will swing open its doors at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel. Chef Christian Fantoni (Bice, Pensiero Ristorante) will deliver a menu comprising Italian classics in a 150-seat dining room.

The menu, which will be served for breakfast, lunch and dinner (as well as a separate bar menu), will have a bounty of options like antipasti of burrata with marinated peppers and arugula; blue prawns with artichokes, orange and black olives; and braised pork belly with radicchio and cipollini onion. There are six types of bruschette and just as many pasta and risotto options (the cocoa-scented wild boar pappardelle sounds intense) and a slew of meats and fish, like char-grilled tuna with butternut squash caponata; grilled lamb loin and braised lamb shank with white fagioli beans; and osso bucco Milanese

This being attached to the Radisson Blu, the restaurant will serve a full breakfast serving traditional plates like scrambled or poached eggs as well as panettone with a warm fruit compote and crespelle, an Italian crepe with lemon ricotta, currants, apricot and syrup. The bar will have a separate menu featuring pizzas, small plates like meatballs, eggplant parm and roasted beets; cheese plates; and more. The all Italian wine list will have a number of options under $30 as well as select large format bottles.

Take a look at the menu below (hint: enlarge the menus at the bottom of the viewer) before the restaurant opens next week.
