Last week we introduced the forthcoming DuckNRoll food truck that will serve all sorts of banh mi, but Wow Bao is going to beat them to the Asian food-truck punch. The popular hot Asian bun company will release its own truck on Wed. Oct. 26 around 11:30 at 600 W. Chicago Avenue, aka Groupon HQ.
When we first learned about the truck, it sounded like it was going to be a full-on food truck called Buns on the Run. However, since they can't cook on it, they decide to instead use a Wow Bao-branded van with bun warmers inside. The van will sell three options of $5 two-bun pack: two spicy Mongolian beef; two whole wheat veggie edamame; or a combo of one BBQ pork and one chicken teriyaki. The truck wil also sell bottled Bruce Cost Ginger Ale (original or pomegranate; $3 each) and bottled water ($1). For future locations, follow Wow Bao on Twitter.
