Debonair Social Club Owners Opening Storefront Company with Chef Bryan Moscatello

New, 1 comment

The team behind Debonair Social Club, Claudia Gassel and Steve Harris, are getting into the restaurant game when they open Storefront Company sometime this fall. The pair has partnered with chef Bryan Moscatello, who was named a 2003 Food & Wine best new chef and most recently was executive chef of the Stir Food Group (Zola, Potenza Trattoria) in Washington, D.C., where he earned the title of "top table" by Bon Appetit.

The 65-seat restaurant in the former Untitled retail space will have four distinct dining areas: communal, classic bar, main room and kitchen counter, which will actually be an intimate four-person chef's table available by reservation only.

Moscatello's seasonal menu will have dishes like foie gras bombe with brioche chips and pickled peaches; quail with pistachio sausage, polenta and blood orange; black cod with short rib fried rice, tomago and scallion; and The Whole Hog, featuring pork ribs, loin, shank, housemade sausage and pancetta.

While the restaurant has yet to set a firm opening date, get a sneak peek tonight at the Meals on Wheels Celebrity Chef Ball. If you're going, stop by their table and say hello.
