Your desire to get up close and personal with your favorite chefs just got a little easier as Beauty and Her Feast creator Kiki Luthringshausen is kicking off "Spotlight Chef," a new live event series that's part talk show and party dinner theater. OK, maybe not so much dinner theater as much as it is dinner and maybe a little bit Inside the Actors Studio.
The series kicks off Nov. 7 at inovasi with chef/owner John des Rosiers. The evening, which starts with casual cocktails, will feature an approximately 30-minute live interview between des Rosiers and Luthringshausen, where the hostess uncovers things about the chef that take place outside of the kitchen: childhood, inspirations, life experiences and more. The intimate chat will then be followed by a three-course meal prepared by the chef. The cost for the event is $65 with a portion going to benefit Bernie's Book Bank, a charity selected by des Rosiers.
Moving forward, Spotlight Chef will feature chefs, restaurateurs and others in the industry. Luthringshausen has already lined up nights with Martial Noguier (Bistronomic), Jon Beatty (Davanti Enoteca), Curtis Duffy and former Ria chef Jason McLeod, which will see the show travel to LA.
