ELSTON CORRIDOR—Warm up with some tasty soup and help out the Irving Park Community Food Pantry on Jan. 19 at the Hideout. This free event, Soup & Bread, is free but all donations benefit the cause. You can taste soup from the likes of Mana Food Bar's Jill Barron, Milk & Honey owner Carol Watson and Sound Opinions producer Robin Linn, who is making an English onion soup with cheddar cheese. RIVER NORTH—Reap the benefits of a recent trip to Spain taken by Zealous chef/owner Michael Taus and his wife. Taus will host a Spanish-themed wine dinner highlighting some of the best culinary treats they discovered. The five-course dinner, on Feb. 1, costs $125 and includes all the wine pairings from Maverick Wine Co. Make reservations at 312-475-9112. [EaterWire]

EDGEWATER—It's time to break bread and what better place than the revamped Flourish Bakery. Owners Allison and Ed Madell snagged master break baker Ehsan Ganji (NY's Balthazar and Bouley). Best of all, you don't even have to leave your house. They have a weekly bread delivery service. Fancy that. [Daily Candy]
