Two Restaurant Weeks Hitting Chicago in Next Month

Details of Chicago Restaurant Week were just revealed and it's going to be a doozy. The 10-day-spanning food fest goes from Feb. 18-27 and sees dozens of Chicago-area eateries (suburbs, too) creating special prix-fixe menus. This is a great opportunity to try places you've had on your dining bucket list at great set prices: lunch starting at $22 and dinner for $33 or $44, depending on the place.

The menus often consist of three courses—an app, entree and dessert. With more than 200 places participating this year, you have a lot of options and realistically could hit 20 spots if you were eager enough. Almost all of the restaurants from last year are back and a handful or so have been added, including Benny's Chop House, Chizakaya, Epic and Prairie Fire. Start making your reservations now.

If you just can't wait the five weeks for Restaurant Week, the Chicago Originals Restaurant Week kicks off Jan. 17 and runs through Jan. 29. While currently only a few restaurants have announced participation, you can get three- or four-course dinners for $29.11 at Red Rooster/Cafe Bernard, Cyrano's Bistrot and Wine Bar, Hemmingway's Bistro, Mexique and Oceanique. More restaurants should be added.
