Celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson has started chronicling his favorite dishes at various restaurants on Foodspotting. First came New York, which includes 15 items like the tarte flambe from August, bahn mi cari ga curry chicken from Saigon and the artichoke at Freeman's. He just rolled out an L.A. guide that currently only has five items, including the rib eye steak at Cut and the prosciutto di Parma pizza at Pizzeria Mozza, but promises a total of 10.
Samuelsson, the owner of New York's Red Rooster and Chicago's C-House, will soon post guides for San Francisco and Chicago and said on his website that the first person to spot all 10 items on the L.A. list will receive a signed copy of his book New American Table.
