You don't have to wait much longer to get your snack and drink on at Maude's Liquor Bar, the West Loop lounge and restaurant nestled between Sushi Wabi and Vivo in the former Vice space. We're told the exposed-brick-lined, dimly lit spot, which looks like it copped its decor from a Parisian boudoir, is flinging open its doors to the cocktail-guzzling, oyster-slurping masses on Jan. 4.

If you've been watching Maude's blog, however, you know the place is already prepped: The computers are firing, the glassware is shiny and the bar is stocked with ice. Meanwhile, to gear up for the potential onslaught of business, Maude's is currently holding practice dinners for staff and friends to get the kinks out. We're waiting for our invitation.
