New Gateway Renderings; Webster Square Updates; More!

And now the latest from Curbed Chicago, covering everything you want to know about the city's neighborhoods.

WEST LOOP: After the public was given a chance to review plans for The Gateway back in April, the Taxman Corp. and Antunovich Associates went back to the drawing board. This week, Curbed revealed new renderings that show a scaled-back high-rise and grocery store slated for Halsted and Madison.

LINCOLN PARK: Despite spirited protests from a vocal opposition, the Chicago Plan Commission announced that it will hear a presentation on Webster Square next week. The move comes just after 43rd Ward Alderman Vi Daley reportedly asked the Commission to remove the project from its agenda. Dra-ma!

CABRINI-GREEN: And then there were none. The last family moved out of the Cabrini-Green high-rises earlier today. Just down the street, a new Parkside of Old Town mid-rise is under construction to provide replacement CHA and affordable housing.

LOGAN SQUARE: The Chicago Zoning Committee finally approved the Zapata Apartments, a four-building, 61-unit affordable housing development.
