We've been waiting a few weeks to say this: Bangers & Lace is officially opening tonight. While it's a soft launch, those of you who can't wait to sink your teeth into chef Adam Wendt's menu can pop over to the new Wicker Park tavern tonight.
You can select one of a few dozen beers either on tap or in bottle from their in-house beer sommlier and dig into some ham-roasted peanuts, a Sheboygan veal brat with melted gouda, lamb merguez with crispy fried chickpeas or even a Chicago-style dog. Whatever your poison, don't expect a fussy, uppity bar. This place, inspired by Northwoods Wisconsin, seems to be super chill. We'll be there soon enough and take a place at the bar.
