Cibo Matto's Caramelli Dish on Bon Appetit's Hot Ten List

Bon Appetit's November issue features the top 10 best places for pasta in the U.S. and Chicago's Cibo Matto, which was named by Food & Wine last year as one of America's best new Italian restaurants, is clearly a special place. Restaurant editor Andrew Knowlton tipped his hat to Cibo's caramelli as the dish to devour.

The wrapped-candy-shaped pasta is filled with butternut squash and tossed with sage, amaretti crumbs and lovingly lies in a brown butter sauce. Clearly this is a perfect dish for fall to fatten us up for winter. If you're heading to Cibo, the half-portion runs $15, while a full plate is $30. Too bad it originator Todd Stein isn't at Cibo anymore to enjoy the accolades, but you'll soon get to taste some his new creations at the Florentine, opening Nov. 11.
