Mario Batali: Oliver Platt Should Play Me in the Movie

New, 1 comment

After numerous attempts to sit down with Mario Batali, Eater National's Joshua David Stein finally got the chance at a party at Batali's restaurant Del Posto, which recently received a four-star review from the New York Times. During the chat, Batali came across as approachable, real and affable.

The celebrity chef said he'd like Oliver Platt to play him in the movie version of his life, but that people keep throwing around Philip Seymour Hoffman, which makes more sense when you consider the fair coloring each possesses. For the full interview, which includes a frank discussion about dining guides, star ratings and how to treat your staff well, pop over to Eater National.
