Koval Distillery Launching Lion's Pride Organic Whiskey

There's no question that the whiskey flows at bars all over Chicago, but come Nov. 6, we're going to be able to start sipping the first (legal) whiskey to be produced in the city since before prohibition. Ravenswood's Koval Distillery is launching a new brand, Lion's Pride Organic Whiskey, just in time for it to keep us a but warmer this winter. Best of all, they're keeping it all in Chicago, at least for now.

Lion's Pride, named for the owner's son, Lion, is a single-grain unfiltered whisky, utilizing only the pure "heart" distillate, and is certified both organic and kosher. It's aged in American oak barrels and four unique variations will be released at the same time: Lion’s Pride Rye, Lion's Pride Oat, Lion's Pride Dark Rye and Lion's Pride Dark Oat.

To call yourself a true tastemaker, get thee to Delilah's on Nov. 6 for the official launch party between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. for samples served up alongside boozy cupcakes by the Baking Lab.
