Sure it's only a soft opening, but we're pretty excited that Terzo Piano is sprouting a little sib at the Modern Wing of the Art Institute this Friday. The good news is that Terzo Piano's Chef di Cucina Meg Colleran Sahs will create the menu. The bad news: You can only dine there if you have a ticket to the museum.
So if you find yourself feeling a tad peckish while browsing works by Picasso, Matisse and Georgia O'Keefe and don't want to indulge in an elaborate lunch, you can now pop up to the second floor's Caffe Moderne to grab a quick nibble. While the full menu is not complete, we do know they'll offer various panini and salads, a selection of sweets, half-bottles of wine, Intelligentsia coffee, hot loose leaf tea from Rare Tea Cellar and bottles of iced Argo Tea.
