The forthcoming Wicker Park taco bar from Paul Kahan and crew has been named Big Star. The menu will include tacos al pastor, fish, veggie as well as a weekly "specialty flavor," and the bar will feature whiskeys, tequilas and a drinks menu developed by Michael Rubel (Violet Hour). Big Star is set to open "in the next month or so," according to a press release. But if you simply cannot wait to sample the Mexican street fare, snag a ticket for the James Beard Foundation dinner at The Publican on Oct. 18, and you'll get an invitation to the complimentary after party at Big Star.
