It looks like the crew behind the Publican, Violet Hour, Forno, avec and more won't rest until they control that entire stretch of Damen Avenue south of North. Despite scrambling to get the Publican open (which officially is now happening Oct. 9), they found time to buy the old Pontiac garage (we remember when it was simply a fruit and vegetable market -- yes, we're dating ourselves). Whatever it ends up being (lounge, restaurant, music venue) you know it's going to be as hot as anything else they put their touch on.
