Shuttered: Violet

We heard that Violet has closed down. This is sad news. We loved Violet. We even came up with a stupid rhyme to begin a review when it first opened. They had a deliciously buttery turkey BLT. They were packed during brunch, but not so much during the week. This is likely what contributed to its demise. But still, sad sad. It brought a warmth to the north end of Southport. From the cozy couches up front to the Little Orphan Annie mural in the main dining room to the perfect Intelligentsia lattes crafted by the barristas. Violet we'll miss you - and yet we hardly got a chance to know you.
