Welcome to Garbage Dumping, where Eater reports on the latest Department of Public Health inspections and closings. If you hear of an establishment that the DOPH shuts down, let us know and send an email to chicago@eater.com.
The Bar Louie location in the West Loop was allowed to reopen after its second re-inspection by the health department. The task force came by last week to check things out and found droppings and flies still hadn't been adequately cleaned up. Even though they're open, it doesn't make us want to eat there anytime soon -- it was the third Bar Louie location to close since late August. If they're that careless with three of their spots, why wouldn't they let things slip up again? [Eater]
