Plywood Report: Self Serve FroYo Coming to Oak Park

Oak Park: Looks like the FroYo wars are heading west. YoGo Station is the latest to join Berry Chill, Red Mango and Starfruit in the FroYo phenom that has hit Chicago in the last year (and then there's iCream ... will they ever reopen?). But this place has a little trick up its sleeve: it's all self serve. The spot, about a block away from the Green Line for easy access to city folks who want to make the trek, is scheduled to open at the end of the month. When it does arrive, look for a rotating menu of 8 yogurt flavors each day, including original tart, mango, french vanilla, chocolate, peanut butter, key lime, green tea, pink guava and more. You add all your own toppings -- fruit, dry (i.e. chocolate chips, coconut, mochi) and cereal -- and pay $0.39 an ounce with a 25% off grand opening special. They'll also have blended smoothies and fresh fruit cups. [Plywood]
