EaterWire: Boston Blackie's Migrates North

UKRAINIAN VILLAGE—Looks like Ukrainian Village is getting a little Middle Eastern flavor. Former Narcisse and Sugar honcho Jerry Suqi took over the old Bleeding Heart Bakery spot in the 'hood. Word on the street is that it's going to be called Chickpea and will focus on recipes from his native Palestine. [Gayot]

LINCOLN PARK—River North mainstay Boston Blackie's has opened yet another spot (making this eight in the Chicago area), this time in the heart of Lincoln Park near DePaul. Strange thing though, when we called the number listed on the restaurant's website, it went to what sounded like a personal cell.

GOLD COAST—Owners of the not-quite-a-year-old Tallulah are spawning again, this time in the Biblical sense. Ok, maybe that's a stretch, but owner Matt Fisher confirmed that Eve will open later this month at Wabash and Chicago -- and will up the ante a bit from Tallulah, which has already been marked with 3 stars. The slightly more formal Eve will feature a continental American menu with Asian and Indian influences and will showcase what has made Chef Tony Graves' food a fave at the North Side spot.
