BRIDGEPORT— Italian stalwart Franco's Ristorante is back open after renovations that started last year. They've repainted the space and will offer a "twist" on the menu, according to DNAinfo. Status: Certified open, 300 W. 31st St.
MELROSE PARK— Wingstop, the Dallas-based chain of chicken wing restaurants, has a new suburban location. NFL Hall of Famer Troy Aikman serves as spokesman for the chain, which counts 45 in the Chicagoland area. Status: Certified open, 1372 Winston Plaza, Melrose Park.
