LOGAN SQUARE— The spaces on the 2700 block of North Milwaukee Avenue are taking shape, as Hopewell Brewing is already open. And coming soon is Chiya Chai Cafe, the previously-reported spot from a Nepalese family focusing on tea, but will also serve beer and food (savory pies, dumplings, curries). DNAinfo reports it could open in mid-May. There's also Ryyu Asian BBQ, which will offer sushi and Japanese barbecue. And down on the 2400 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, Miller Chicago has two more spaces that restaurants could lease. They've already reached agreement with Small Fry.
THE LOOP— Raised, a new rooftop bar at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel at 1 W. Upper Wacker Dr., is opening on May 13.
LINCOLN PARK— J9 Wine Bar wants to open by July at 1961 N. Halsted St., according to DNAinfo. They'll have wines from across the world, beer, cocktails and snacks.
EVANSTON— Alpana Singh's third restaurant, Terra & Vine, is coming along at 1701 Maple Ave. They've submitted a liquor license application that will be heard on Wednesday before Evanston officials.
RAVENSWOOD— Mad Love, the brick and mortar spot from farmer's market Thai favorite Rock 'N Roll Noodle Co., is having a soft opening on Wednesday at 1810 W. Montrose Ave., according to ownership.
THE LOOP— A new restaurant, Early Society, is moving into the former Terrace On Clark space at 77 W. Wacker Dr., according to signage. The website says the cafe is coming soon and will serve breakfast and lunch. Terrace closed in February 2015.
WICKER PARK— Insomnia Cookies should open its Wicker Park location by the end of the month, according to DNAinfo. The space at 1537 N. Milwaukee Ave. would be the chain's third in Chicago.
SCHAUMBURG— Marcus Lemonis ("The Profit") is expanding his fast-casual chain The Simple Greek to 20 more markets around the country, including Schaumburg. There's one on the North Shore in Highland Park at 478 Central Ave.
ANDERSONVILLE— Goddess and the Grocer is aiming to open its seventh location in May, according to DNAinfo. They're moving into 5318 N. Clark St.
